Whilst the primary aim of this blog is to keep you posted with updates on the flood defence works and refurbishment, from time to time we would like to do something a little different. What better way to do this than to get out and about in our local area and show you some of the great activities it has to offer.
This weekend saw Festival of Speed take place at Goodwood, a highly popular event among many in the local area and further afield. We often welcome some of you to stay and dine at the Arun View which meant this year was a little different due to the refurbishment however we hope to welcome you back next year.
Anyway back to the festival itself a few of us from the Arun View went along on the Friday and it truly was a great day, highlights included the impressive Red Arrows, fast cars galore and getting to test out some of the newest models.
There is no better way to show this great event other than photos so here are some of our favourites taken on Friday to show you some of the best bits.
This shot was captured at the beginning of the day showing the famous sculpture appearing to disappear into the clouds above Goodwood House.
There was a fabulous display by the Red Arrows which captured almost all the visitors attention trying to spot which way they were going next and watching their signature red, white and blue flumes across the sky.
and there they were gone!
Now it wouldn’t be complete without a look at some of the cars on display from F1 to the latest models of all your favourite car brands.
Hope you enjoyed our experience of Goodwood Festival of Speed, we all certainly had a great day and hope to welcome some of you back next year on your journey home as well as returning to the event ourselves.
